Representation of a private electricity supplier in a transaction to purchase "green electricity"

Our firm represented Doral Electricity from Nature, a subsidiary of Doral Energy, in its capacity as a private electricity supplier with a supply license without means of production, in an agreement to purchase “green electricity” from a manufacture with a renewable energy technology facility. This transaction is one of the first transactions taking place in Israel between a private electricity supplier and a manufacturer, which is possible in light of the new legislation that the Electricity Authority initiated, with the goal of opening the energy market to competition – “the market model”. In addition, we advised the company as part of its negotiations with Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank, the organizer of the syndication of the project financing for the manufacturer, on the obligations and agreements required by the financiers.
