Our firm successfully represented a foreign company and its Israeli shareholders, in an action that was filed against them with the Krayot Family Court. The action revolved around the Plaintiff’s arguments that he is actually the controlling shareholder of the foreign company, in view of a trust agreement that had been made between him and his brother, one of the Israeli shareholders, prior to the formation of the foreign company.
After our firm had filed motions to dismiss the action in limine, among other reasons, since the Israeli forum is not the appropriate forum to adjudicate the action and since, in any event, the Family Court does not have the subject-matter jurisdiction to adjudicate the action – the court accepted our arguments, including those pertaining to the appropriate forum, and dismissed the action in limine, while awarding costs against the Plaintiff.
