Avital joined Gornitzky GNY as an associate in 2022.
Avital’s main areas of expertise are fintech, digital assets, blockchain, anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the finance of terrorism (CFT), cyber protection, privacy and information security, mergers and acquisitions, homeland security and Internet and E-Commerce. Avital is involved in the representation of sellers and buyers in mergers and acquisitions in Israel and around the world, along with legal counseling on matters relating to the transfer of information and information security. Avital specializes in advising on various regulatory matters in relation to fintech, blockchain, digital assets, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, Web 3.0 projects, smart contracts, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and privacy.
Prior to joining the firm, Avital served for six years in the International Law Department, Military Advocate General Corps. During her service, Avital advised Israel’s security administration and government ministries on matters of national security and international relations within the fields of International Law (including International Humanitarian, Telecommunications and Water Law), and Constitutional and Administrative Law. Avital was also involved in negotiating and drafting agreements with various international and regional parties, as well as in the litigation of disputes before Israeli courts, including the High Court of Justice.
