ABOUT

David joined our firm in 2022 as a Tax Partner to lead the field of indirect taxation, as part of the merger with the tax-boutique firm D. Potchebutzky.

David’s expertise includes handling the many implications of the various tax laws on taxpayers— VAT, Customs, Purchase tax, Income tax, International Taxation, Real-estate taxation and more.

This practice accompanies the various stages that the firm’s diverse clients deal with in their ongoing activities—including consulting in tax planning, providing opinions, assisting in the tax aspects of various agreements, representation before the Israeli Tax Authority in the various stages of assessment and when applying for pre-rulings, representation in the District Court and the Supreme Court and more.

Over many years of professional activity, David has gained extensive experience and knowledge in fiscal support in the various fields in which his clients deal. These include import, export, local and international trade, energy and natural resources, infrastructure and project financing, the capital market, tourism and recreation, high tech and biotechnology, banking and financial institutions, communications, real estate, the food industry, various manufacturing industries, local municipalities and more.

As part of the advice that David provides to his clients, special emphasis is placed on immediate, real-time responses to various issues that arise in the course of business, which enables smooth and safe ongoing business management and the prevention of tax exposures as early as possible, while offering accurate taxation solutions adapted to each client and each situation.

In the past, David served as an Attorney in the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office (Civil – Fiscal Department), where he represented the various divisions of the Israeli Tax Authority (VAT Administrators, Customs and Purchase tax Collectors, Income tax Assessors and various Real-estate taxation Administrators) before the judicial courts.

In addition, parallel to his work, David assisted in expanding taxation horizons in various fields.

For example, David previously served as the Chairman of the Indirect Taxes Committee at the Israel Bar Association.

In addition, David has published many dozens of articles and commentaries in professional magazines and in the financial press and lectured for many years in taxation courses at leading academic institutions and professional bureaus.

David won an award for writing a series of articles in the “Insights on Fiscal Rulings” section in “The Accountant” magazine published by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel.
