Shahar is a Partner at our firm.

Shahar’s main area of expertise is Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and his practice covers a variety of legal fields.

Shahar represents both Israeli and foreign individuals and corporations in various proceedings, before all the judicial instances in Israel, including in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

Shahar has a vast experience in complex and sensitive litigation matters, including shareholders disputes, disputes in the areas of real estate and infrastructure, maritime transport disputes, class actions and derivative suits and complex contractual disputes. In addition, Shahar provides ongoing legal advice to the Firm’s clients regarding their day-to-day activities.

Prior to joining Gornitzky, Shahar worked as a senior litigation associate in a leading law firm in Israel. Prior to that, and as part of his military service in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Israeli Defense Forces, Shahar served for eight years as a military prosecutor and legal advisor in the office of the Legal Advisor for Judea and Samaria. There, Shahar gained extensive experience in the fields of public international law, the laws of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and criminal and military laws. In the course of his work at the Firm, Shahar provides legal support and advice for projects in these fields.

During his Reserve Service, Shahar serves as a military defense attorney before military tribunals, and handles mattes concerning fraud allegations and environmental defense issues.

In the period between 2011-2016, Shahar served as Associate Editor of the law journal “Ma’asei Mishpat” (the Tel Aviv University journal of law and social change).
