Shir joined Gornitzky GNY as an associate in 2022.
Shir specializes in corporate and commercial law, and handles both local and international commercial transactions, and advises entrepreneurs, start-ups, hi-tech companies, and venture capital funds.
In the Investment Funds practice, Shir represents founders of venture capital and other investment funds in Israel and abroad in all aspects of fund formation, beginning from the founders’ arrangements and structure, and throughout the investments of the funds in portfolio companies, including secondary transactions and co-investments.
In addition, Shir represents high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors in their investments in various funds such as private equity funds, venture capital funds, debt funds, and co-investments. Shir has extensive knowledge of the regulation applicable to Israeli institutional investors and advises them on the regulatory, legal, and commercial aspects of their investments.
Alongside the Investment Funds practice, Shir has gained extensive professional experience in corporate and commercial law, including ongoing counseling to companies, drafting commercial agreements, representation of companies in investment transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Shir served for six years in the Military Advocate General’s Corps.
