Our firm is representing the Zichron Yaakov Council in an unusual and exceptional administrative petition, which was filed with the Court of Administrative Affairs in Haifa against the Regional Planning and Construction Committee and against the Chairman of the Committee, Eli Abutbul (former Head of the Council). The grounds for the petition are that the Chairman of the Regional Committee advanced a plan for the rezoning of land so as to enable the construction of a neighborhood comprising approximately 208 housing units in Zichron Yaakov, despite the serious conflict-of-interest situation he was in, because, he had previously handled and advanced – as a private attorney – a plan for residential purposes in the very same area and for the very same entrepreneur.
The Zichron Yaakov Council is represented by the partners, Adv. Ofer Tzur (head of the Litigation Department) and Adv. Itzchak Lazar, together with the associates Adv. Omer Razin and Adv. Daniel Cohen.
