Our firm represented Dan Public Transportation in a lawsuit filed against it by the Tel Aviv Municipality in the District Court concerning the use of the Carmelit terminal—with regards to both user fees of about NIS 4 million, as well as the demand that Dan vacate the terminal.
This week, the status of a court ruling was given to a settlement agreement, whereby the user fees will be reduced significantly (to about half the sum demanded by the Municipality), and Dan’s right to use the terminal will be extended until 2028.
It was further stipulated, in a precedential manner, that Dan will be able to use the terminal to charge electric buses, as part of a model for the transition to a widespread use of these buses.
Dan Public Transportation was represented by partner Daniel Lasry and associate Shaked Shani Korenianski.
