Our office represented shareholders in their claim against a sole director of a company who, along with another shareholder, reported the transfer of their shares without their consent. In response, the defendants filed a counterclaim seeking to rectify an error in the share register. After the defendants failed to conduct disclosure proceedings as required and did not comply with court decisions, the Tel Aviv District Court (Judge Ariel Tzimerman) accepted our request and ordered, in an unusual manner, to dismiss the defendants’ statements of claim and to accep the majority of our claim’s remedies, despite it being a lawsuit in absentia. Additionally, the defendants were ordered to pay costs totaling NIS 30,000, plus attorney fees.
